One special things there is the Bee-keeping farm. Bee-keeping farm can be defined as applied bee behaviour which teaches us scientific methods of keeping and producing honey and wax. The bee is a social insect which lives in a colony like human beings. Queen, drone and workers are the three types of bees which live in the colony. They produce honey and wax that have very high market value in the society of the human beings. Honey is used as substitute of sugar in many parts of the country. So, to meet the requirement of sugar, most o the villagers keep bees to produce honey. The history of bee keeping in Nepal is very short. It received serous considerations from the government only during the fiscal year 2029/030 B.S. Later on, Bee-keeping was established in Godawari and developed in various parts of the country. Now-a-days, it has been very popular as it provides not only the honey and wax but it also teaches lesson of co-operation to the people. Similarly, honey can be preserved for longtime and also be used to make various medicines.
